Juicing with Jim: Beet, Carrot, Apple & Ginger

All week long we're Juicing with Jim! We kicked the week off with Jim's Tropi-Kale juice. Today we're jumpstarting the day with a lovely, naturally sweet combination:


Can you feel the beet? It's time to start juicing this nutritional powerhouse to enjoy benefits that include liver detox, lower blood pressure and enhanced skin health. 


Carrots pack a super beta-carotene punch, and are great for a vitamin C boost. Carrots also work to lower cholesterol and help the body digest fat. 


Apples are cancer-fighters. They're also great for people who suffer from asthma. 


Fighting a cold? Ginger can help relieve congestion. Also, ginger loves your heart. It controls high blood pressure and can even promote hair growth.

Here's the recipe for today's juice: 

1 large or 2 medium beets, cut into wedges

1/2 lemon, zest and pith removed

2 large carrots

1 large apple, cut into wedges

1? piece of ginger

    Wow! This is really good! Careful with the ginger. Only put a finger sized peeled piece in.
