What we believe.
We believe in the verbal inspiration of the bible. We believe that the bible is God’s word to man and is inerrant and infallible. (Isaiah 40:8; John 5:39; Romans 15:4; Heb 4:12)
We believe in one God existing in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and authority. (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; James 2:19)
We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who was born of a virgin. We believe that Jesus came to this earth to die for man’s sin. We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, and there is salvation in no other name. (John 1:1-14, Phil 2:5-11, John 14:6)
Repentance and Salvation
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We believe that repentance is not only commanded, but is necessary for man’s salvation and the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:21, 3:19; I John 1:9; John 1:12; John 3:16; Acts 2:21; Rom 5:8-10)
Sanctification is an ongoing process that God uses to continually clean us. This process is done through the Holy Spirit and by us obeying Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; II Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18, II Thessalonians 2:1-3, Romans 8:29, 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11).
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe that God enables us, through the Holy Spirit, with certain abilities that He gifts us with. These gifts enable us to do the work that God has called us to do. (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11,12 :4-8; Ephesians 4:16; II Timothy 1:5-16, 4:14; I Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; I Peter 4:10).
We believe that man is an eternal being. We believe that even though man’s body dies, his soul lives for eternity either in heaven or hell. We believe that heaven is reward for the righteous while hell is the punishment for those who have not accepted Christ as their savior. (1 Cor 15:54-57, 2 Cor 5:8, John 14:1-3, Psalms 9:17, Rev 20:13-15)
