About Nell Henderson
I was born and grew up in the Bootheel of Missouri, just south of St. Louis, where I married my high school sweetheart. Shortly after our wedding we took off for Springfield, Mo. to attend college. We moved to the Carolinas in 1983, when Allen came to work for His Radio. We just came out sight unseen; just loaded the truck and took off. That’s a little unorthodox, but we were just kids and didn’t know any better. Living life untraditionally keeps it exciting. After moving here I worked for the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Corporate Offices before coming to His Radio.
I absolutely love living in the Carolinas and can’t get enough of the beautiful mountain views and the wonderful climate. I enjoy reading and collecting ornaments. I’m a cat girl. Unlike dogs, you don’t own cats; they kind of like to think they own you, and I’m okay with that. When I’m not working, I’m pretty much doing housework, laundry or hanging out with the grandkids.
We have one daughter, Amber, who is a middle school teacher. She and her husband, Daniel, live close now. They’ve given us two beautiful grandkids, Eva, and Samuel. I used to wonder why grandparents are so silly. I mean, really?!? Now I fully understand why it’s to everyone’s benefit to see their beautiful pics!
