Josh Hipp

Josh is a 14-year radio industry veteran and has held various positions in promotions, marketing, production, and on-air. He is passionate about connecting with people in real and meaningful ways — and he's excited to connect with the HIS Radio listeners.  

He is happily married to his "awesome wife," Ashley, and has two incredible children — Evangeleene and Desmond. Family is very important to Josh, and he also enjoys the close-knit bonds between his mother, sister, and brother as well. The Hipps enjoy time together, hanging out, and being silly. 

Josh is a true music lover, appreciating all types of music — especially when performed live.  He also enjoys watching movies in the theater, IMAX movies, and reading books.

Here's Josh's testimony in his own words: 

"I learned about Jesus from a young age, thanks to my mom's open sharing of her faith. Although I prayed to receive Jesus when I was around eight during VBS, I later realized I didn't fully understand what it meant to commit to Him at that age.

The most significant spiritual impact on my life came as I graduated high school and prepared for college. Faced with uncertainty about my future and the financial burden of tuition, I chose North Greenville University as my best option. Initially disappointed when I learned that a crucial scholarship I needed had gone to someone else, I was amazed when that person no longer needed it, and I was awarded the scholarship instead. I was grateful for the opportunity to attend NGU, "Where Christ Makes the Difference."

My time at NGU was transformative in my relationship with Christ, and it was there that I decided to major in broadcast media and get involved with the student-run Christian radio station. This opportunity at HISRAdio leads me full circle, back into Christian radio, where I hope to share Jesus's love on air and offer hope to those in need."
