"Hi…I’m Brandie and I’ve taken the His Radio Love Dare Challenge. I never in a million years would have guessed that God would use such a small challenge in such a powerful way. My husband and I, after only being married just a little over 2 years hit a very difficult time in our short marriage. At the age of 25, I never thought I would be saying the words separation and divorce, but I was. My husband had decided that he no longer wanted to be with me. He was hurt, tired and worn down. This hit me like a brick, and left me being desperate, lonely and broken. So I set off to try and resolve this big problem that we were facing, thinking that I just needed to stay in control. I bought us books and we even went to Christian marriage counseling, but nothing seem to be working and he still wanted out. Finally, my last effort to save our marriage was the Love Dare. I started it with a very heavy heart and a crushed spirit. I was devastated that this was happening to us and couldn’t believe that God was allowing it. Completing the dares and all the aspects that the dares entailed was a very difficult task when I wasn’t getting anything back. And then I got to the Dare about unconditional Love and my outlook changed. After reading that, I wanted to love my husband with “God’s Kind of Love”..Agape love which is unconditional. And I set out to do just that. God showed me through that one Dare and through many others along the way, that love is not determined by the one being loved but rather by the one choosing love. And the only way that love can last a lifetime is if it’s unconditional. While on this journey, God showed me that I wasn’t giving all of myself to Him and wasn’t giving Him my very Best. I know that so many times I was leaving Him feeling broken and lonely, just as I was feeling. I wasn’t letting Him take full control of my life and my marriage. He had to teach me that He loves us…not because we deserve it..but because he chooses to love us….He is the designer and maker of Agape Love. We love, because He first loved us” which is laid out for us in 1 John 4:19 Through all of this, I feel that His ultimate goal was to bring myself and my husband closer to Him…and that HE did. My new life verse became Proverbs 3:5-Trust in Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding….in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight!! About two weeks ago, in the midst of continuing my Love Dare Challenges, my husband came home and as soon as I saw him…I knew that God had answered my prayers. He was a changed man of God. My miracle had arrived and God had mended my broken marriage. He had told me that God had spoken to him in a mighty way and he knew that first and foremost he wasn’t where he needed to be with the Lord and knew that he had a lot of work to do strenghthening his relationship with Him. And 2nd he knew that I was the one that God had sent for him. And that he was ready to love me as God intended. Wow..I had been waiting to hear those words for what seemed like for ever! God is so good and His grace and mercy are sufficient. I know that we are not completely out of the woods yet and we will probably have to work at our marriage for the rest of our lives, but I truly feel like we have put God back where he belongs, in the center of our lives and marriage and in full control. I couldn’t be more thankful to God for what all He has done and for the miracle he has performed in our lives! And I thank God for using something as simple as His Radio and the Love Dare to speak to us in such a powerful way. Thank you His Radio for giving me this opportunity to share my miracle with you and for giving us this challenge. And to Josh, my husband, my very best friend, I thank you for the man you are. I thank you for being submissive to God’s work in you life! I thank God for you everyday and for the joy you bring to my life! Know that you are my treasure, my priceless gift and I pray that we contine re-building our marriage on the firm foundation of the Lord and fill it with the Love of Christ…Agape love. Let us never forget that we must always lead our hearts, choose to Love and give God full control! To God Be the Glory! Happy Valentines Day! Always and Forever, I love you!

"I LOVE your station! Several of us in my office keep it on all day and it's always on in my car and house. I just have one comment - the commercial where the very sad, depressed military wife is talking to her husband is AWFUL! Living in Charleston, a military town, I've never known an active military wife with a husband deployed that would talk to him like that! They always try to sound upbeat and positive - he would probably quit calling home if that's what he had to hear! I've heard several people say that they hate that commercial. The point is good but the example is horrible! Got to stay positive for those fighting for us! Thanks for listening! And thanks for all you do!

"1yr ago today,his memorial service,11/11/07.How His Radio helped give me strength to get through this 1st year after son's death.Derek was killed in a motorcycle accident(not his fault)in front of Municipal Stadium where he spent much time with family watching Braves and going to baseball camp. I drive by here daily to go to work. Derek gave me a sticker years ago from Southside Christian School for His Radio and told me I should listen to your station. I did some, but this year it was everyday both to and from work.I lost count how many times Amazing Grace came on as I drove by "the site".A cross is there now in his memory and a bench at Southside Christian School.

Derek’s memorial service was held November 11th on veteran’s day; this was to stay away from his grandfather’s birthday that is on the 12th. Derek’s Dad and both his grandparents are veterans. Ken, Sr. is a retired chief of police. His grandfather Sam Jewell will be surprised when he gets to heaven and sees Derek is there before him because he has Alzheimer’s and doesn’t know Derek is gone.

Friends have found how helping others helped through these hard times. It has been decided to carry this a little further and with all working together to raise money for Habitat for Humanity and to volunteer time to build a house in Derek’s memory. Derek had this on his list as one of his plans for community service and his friends would like to carry this out. Derek was a friend they knew would come if you needed help, whether car or bike trouble, or an injury, work, money, food, or a ride. More than once, he had bought food for someone sitting on the streets asking for money. He saw everyone as an equal; and treated you the same no matter your race, rich or poor, young or old. So many stories have been shared by his friends including their parents of how Derek had helped them or made them laugh. A note was found he had written earlier that read “show me a frown and I’ll turn it upside down”, we would like to continue this motto. His parents encourage each one to take more pictures, give more hugs, and ask God above to guide you each day.

"I LEFT A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SITUATION, AND ONE DAY (11/06/08 AROUND LUNCH TIME) AFTER FINDING OUT ABOUT ANOTHER WAY THAT MY EX-HUSBAND WAS TRYING TO HURT ME FINANCIALLY, I CRIED TO GOD TO SEND ME A MESSAGE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND YOUR STATION WAS ON. JAMES DOBSON CAME ON AND DESCRIBED EXACTLY HOW I SAW MY SITUATION. I CRIED AND PRAISED GOD KNOWING ONCE AGAIN THAT HE WAS LETTING ME KNOW THAT I AM NOT ALONE AND HE IS MY EVER PRESENT HELP IN TIMES OF TROUBLE. 

I HAD TO FACE THE FACT THAT I WAS BEING ABUSED BY MY EX-HUSBAND. WE ARE BOTH CHRISTIANS SO I ALWAYS TRIED TO EXPLAIN AWAY ALL THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED AND PRAYED THAT THINGS WOULD CHANGE AND GET BETTER. THEY DID CHANGE, GRADUALLY GETTING WORSE INSTEAD OF BETTER, UNTIL I HAD TO FLEE MY HOME. ONE DAY (11/06/08 AROUND LUNCH TIME) AFTER FINDING OUT ABOUT ANOTHER WAY THAT MY EX-HUSBAND WAS TRYING TO HURT ME FINANCIALLY,( HE HAD SECRETLY OPENED A SAVINGS ACCOUNT, IN HIS NAME ONLY A YEAR AGO AND WHEN I LEFT HIM HE TRANSFERRED ALL THE MONEY IN OUR JOINT CHECKING ACCOUNT, BUT A LITTLE OVER $8, TO HIS SAVINGS ACCOUNT.)THIS DAY I FOUND OUT THAT HE HAD NOT PAID SOME BILLS AND THEY WERE PAST DUE. ONE OF THEM WAS OUR CELL PHONE BILL. (I AM LIVING IN A SAFE SHELTER AND RELY HEAVILY ON MY PHONE) I CRIED TO GOD TO SEND ME A MESSAGE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND YOUR STATION WAS ON. JAMES DOBSON CAME ON AND DESCRIBED EXACTLY HOW I SAW MY SITUATION. I CRIED AND PRAISED GOD KNOWING ONCE AGAIN THAT HE WAS LETTING ME KNOW THAT I AM NOT ALONE AND HE IS MY EVER PRESENT HELP IN TIMES OF TROUBLE.

MUSIC IS MY LIFELINE AND EVERY TIME I TURN YOUR STATION ON THERE IS A MESSAGE FROM GOD IN THE MUSIC TELLING ME I AM NOT ALONE, HE IS WITH ME, HE WILL PROTECT ME, AND HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT. I LOVE TO PRAISE HIM IN SONG AND YOUR STATION HAS BEEN MY LIFELINE FOR THAT SINCE I DO NOT HAVE A HOME CHURCH. I AM SEARCHING FOR ONE SO PLEASE PRAY WITH ME THAT GOD WILL HELP ME KNOW WHERE HE WANTS ME TO BE AND THAT I WILL CLING TIGHTLY TO HIM THROUGH ALL OF THIS. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!GOD BLESS YOU!!!

"My 5 year old daughter Hayley passed away from the deadliest brain tumor a child can have , on December 24, 2005.At that time we where embraced by Chestnut Ridge baptist church in Laurens and I began to do many things differently including listening to His Radio.Now it is the ONLY station I listen to.The music and the testimonials of other people are like a pair of hands picking me up out of the dirt daily, dusting me off and giving me a reason to finish the day.
